I've know Martin for several years. He is completely trustworthy. He will be there when he says he will, and you can safely leave him in your home while you are away. Martin is a perfectionist and a jack-of-all-trades. He will tell you if you need a specialist, and not attempt something only to get in trouble. Martin removed two kitchen soffits, rerouted an electrical conduit and exhaust vent, installed wallboard, mudded & primed, then mounted new cabinets. He also installed a vanity and new boxes for wall sconce lighting in my bathroom - all to the exacting standards of my wife! He is very creative in resolving those wierd issues that always come up in projects (and I don't mean with a paper clip and duct tape.) He has installed toilets and a roof ehaust fan - all with no damage and no problems. He gets repeat business from me when I need something I'm not comfortable handling for myself. I've recommended him to my friends, and they invariably thank me for the referral. You can also have confidence in his assistant, Valentine.

Affordable Handyman is a great service. I called the service to install drapery rods. Martin (the owner) came over and put up the rods. Martin and his assistant changed my apartment entry and bedroom door locks, which improved the old outdated work my landlord failed to upgrade. I asked him if he would come back and install ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom. He quoted me a price. I made an appointment. His work is quick precise and very professional and most importantly “Affordable!” I recommend his service to anyone who needs assistance. I especially recommend him to tenants with slow or lazy building managers who make his service necessary!

I called Affordable Handyman to install drapes in my living room. After our power went out from a storm, and I missed our scheduled appointment, Martin could not have been nicer or more acommodating. He came the next day (and even came early!), and worked quickly and efficiently to hang the drapes. He was extremely professional, and I felt very safe with him in my house. I will be sure to call again for future projects.

Affordable Handyman is a great service. I called the service after putting multiple holes in my wall trying to put up a drapery rod. Martin (the owner) came over and put up the rod. He also filled the holes i left with material to hide the defects in the wall. I felt comfortable with him in my home and i will ask him to come back to help with other home services.

I was referred to Affordable Handyman for some general "remodeling-type" work I wanted done in a new town home. Over the last several months, Martin Lorenzo has completed a variety of projects for me including installation/grouting of a glass tile mosaic kitchen backsplash, installation/grouting of travertine 12 x 12 tiles around a fireplace hearth, removal of medicine cabinets and mirrors, patch and repair of drywall ready for painting, painting, and installation of bathroom vanity countertop and fixtures. Martin is extremely hardworking, efficient, versatile and creative (often assisting me with ideas how best to accomplish my objective). His work is meticulous as is his work style. He is very professional, friendly, patient (significant, given my lack of "general contracting" experience) and responsive and accommodating to me and my schedule. His rates are fair and reasonable. Martin does it all, and does it all extremely well! Quite a find! I will seek his services again for future projects, without hesitation.

I called Affordable Handyman based on the reviews that were posted. Everything the other reviewers said was correct. I needed a ceiling fan replaced, which Martin quickly did. I had hoped to get a quote for some drywall repair that needed to be done and Martin and one of his staff actually did the repair the same day. It is a real find to have a resource that works after 4 PM! I was pleased with the courteous service on the phone when I made the first call and extremely happy with the work that was performed. They cleaned up the drywall mess quickly and efficiently, and drywall repair can make a mess. I highly recommend their work and will call them again for additional repairs.

I had a problem with birds getting into my dryer vent from the outside of the building. I contacted Affordable Handyman to put a vent cap on the dryer exhaust vent. The day of the appointment, Martin called to confirm! He showed up on time. He realized there was already a vent cap on the exhaust vent and that I'd been wrong about what needed to be done. He suggested a sort of cage to put over the vent to prevent the birds from getting in. He went and got what was needed and put it up. He was very polite and explained what he was going to do. I found the service extremely satisfactory. I was really nervous about hiring a handyman since I'd never done it before and didn't know anyone who knew one. I thought the person wouldn't arrive or change the charges. Affordable Handyman did none of these. The work Martin did was done in a timely manner and effectively. I will use him for future projects when needed.

I've used Affordable Handyman Service to do a wide range of repairs in my condo on several occasions and I highly recommend them. Owner Martin Lorenzo and staff are friendly, polite, knowledgeable and efficient. They have done a great job on all kinds of work, from painting to plumbing to fixing broken appliances. And they take care with my personal property and always clean up. Martin is very organized in running his business, following up on phone calls and email, and always following through on promises. Rates are very reasonable. I've been very pleased with the work done and customer service.

Quick service and on time for appointment. Did excellent job and then I was very suprised by the cost. Even lower than I had hoped. Besides doing an efficient job he was very polite and consciencious to keep area clean and then in cleaning up after all the work he did. Available into the evenings for those who work during day and can't get home during the day to meet up with someone to do work. Will definitely use again for any future jobs.
